Deleting Your Account
Permanently Remove Your Account and Data
If you want to completely delete your PatternPilotAI account and all associated data, you can do so from the Settings page. Please read this guide carefully before proceeding, as account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Before You Delete
Consider these alternatives:
- Cancel your subscription instead of deleting. This lets you keep your free account and data while stopping any charges. See Canceling Your Subscription
- Export your data first. If you have journal entries or analyses you want to keep, export them before deleting your account. See Exporting Journal Data
- Change your email if you just want to update your login credentials. See Changing Your Email or Password
How to Delete Your Account
Step 1: Go to Settings
Navigate to Settings in the PatternPilotAI app.
Step 2: Find the Delete Account Section
Scroll to the bottom of the Settings page. You will see a "Delete Account" section with a warning about permanent data removal.
Step 3: Click Delete Account
Click the "Delete Account" button. A confirmation dialog will appear.
Step 4: Type DELETE to Confirm
To prevent accidental deletions, you must type the word "DELETE" (in capital letters) into the confirmation field. This ensures you are intentionally and deliberately deleting your account.
Step 5: Confirm the Deletion
Click "Permanently Delete Account" to proceed.
What Happens When You Delete
All Data Is Permanently Removed
The following data is permanently and irreversibly deleted:
- Your account profile (name, email, password)
- All chart analyses you have ever run
- All journal entries and associated data
- Your settings and preferences
- Your analysis history and usage data
This data cannot be recovered after deletion. There is no grace period or undo option.
Active Subscription Is Canceled
If you have an active Pro subscription, it is automatically canceled at the time of deletion. You will not be charged again. If you are in the middle of a billing period, the remaining time is forfeited.
Confirmation Email
A confirmation email is sent to your email address confirming that your account has been deleted and your data has been removed.
Sessions Are Terminated
All active sessions are immediately ended. You will be logged out of the app on all devices.
After Deletion
- You will no longer be able to log in with your email address
- Creating a new account with the same email address starts completely fresh with no connection to the deleted account
- Any linked analyses in the system are anonymized
- Stripe payment records are retained by Stripe per their data retention policies, independent of PatternPilotAI
Important Warnings
This action cannot be undone. Once your account is deleted, there is no way to recover your data, analyses, journal entries, or account information.
Export first. If there is any data you want to keep, export it before deleting. Once the account is gone, the data is gone.
Cancel subscription separately if needed. While deletion auto-cancels your subscription, if you want to verify the cancellation independently, you can cancel via the Stripe Customer Portal first.
