Canceling Your Subscription
How to Cancel PatternPilotAI Pro
If you decide to cancel your Pro subscription, you can do so at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal. Here is the process and what to expect.
Step-by-Step Cancellation
- Go to Settings in the PatternPilotAI app
- Scroll to the Subscription section
- Click "Manage Subscription" to open the Stripe Customer Portal
- Click "Cancel Subscription" or "Cancel Plan"
- You may be asked to confirm your cancellation and optionally provide a reason
- Click "Confirm Cancellation"
You will receive a confirmation email from Stripe once the cancellation is processed.
What Happens After Cancellation
You Keep Pro Access Until the End of Your Billing Period
Cancellation does not take effect immediately. You retain full Pro access until the current billing period ends:
- Monthly subscribers: Pro access continues until the end of the current month
- Annual subscribers: Pro access continues until the end of the current annual period
The exact date is shown in the Stripe Customer Portal and in your PatternPilotAI Settings page.
Your Account Reverts to the Free Tier
Once your billing period ends, your account automatically switches back to the free tier:
- You receive 10 AI analyses per month instead of unlimited
- Trade journaling becomes read-only (you can view past entries but not create new ones)
- Learning resources revert to preview-only access
- Analysis history is limited to the last 30 days
Your Data Is Preserved
Canceling does not delete any of your data:
- All past analyses remain in your account
- All journal entries are preserved
- Your account settings, profile, and preferences stay intact
- If you re-subscribe later, everything is right where you left it
No Further Charges
After cancellation, you will not be charged again unless you choose to re-subscribe. There is no cancellation fee.
Re-Subscribing
If you change your mind, you can re-subscribe at any time:
- Go to Settings or click any "Upgrade to Pro" prompt
- Choose your plan (monthly or annual)
- Complete payment
- Pro features unlock immediately
Your data and history will still be there, so you can pick up right where you left off.
Before You Cancel
Consider whether these alternatives might address your needs:
- Switch from monthly to annual to save 50% if cost is a concern
- Take a break by canceling and re-subscribing later when you need Pro again

Common Questions
Will I get a refund for unused time? By default, cancellation does not trigger a refund. You keep access through the end of your billing period. For special circumstances, contact our support team to discuss options.
Can I cancel and keep my journal entries? Yes. All your data is preserved. You can view your journal entries on the free tier, but you cannot create new entries or edit existing ones.
What if I cancel by mistake? Simply re-subscribe before your billing period ends. Your Pro access will continue without interruption.
Will I receive a confirmation? Yes, Stripe sends a cancellation confirmation email to your account email address.
