Analysis Taking Too Long

Resolve Slow or Timed-Out Analyses

Most PatternPilotAI analyses complete in under 5 seconds. If your analysis is taking significantly longer, here is what might be happening and how to fix it.

Understanding Normal Processing Times

  • Typical analysis: 2 to 5 seconds
  • Complex charts: Up to 10 seconds for images with dense price data or multiple patterns
  • Timeout threshold: If an analysis takes longer than 15 seconds, it may have timed out

If you see a loading indicator for more than 15 seconds, the request has likely encountered an issue.

Step 1: Try Again

The most common cause of slow analyses is temporary server load. Simply:

  1. Wait for the current request to complete or time out
  2. Click "Analyze" again to submit a new request
  3. The second attempt usually processes normally

If you are experiencing the issue during peak hours, wait a minute or two before retrying. Server load fluctuates throughout the day.

Step 2: Check Your Internet Connection

A slow analysis might actually be a connectivity issue on your end:

  • Open another website to verify your connection is working
  • Try refreshing the PatternPilotAI page
  • If you are on Wi-Fi, try switching to mobile data or moving closer to your router
  • If you are on mobile data, try connecting to Wi-Fi

A stable internet connection is needed both for uploading the image and receiving the results.

Step 3: Try a Smaller or Cleaner Image

Very large or complex images take longer to process:

  • Reduce the file size by saving as JPG instead of PNG, or by reducing the resolution slightly
  • Crop the image to focus on just the chart area, removing unnecessary interface elements
  • Use a cleaner chart with fewer overlayed indicators. The AI needs to process everything it sees in the image

An image under 2MB typically processes faster than one at 8MB or 10MB.

Step 4: Check for Browser Issues

Occasionally, browser-related issues can interfere with receiving the analysis results:

  • Clear your browser cache and try again
  • Disable browser extensions temporarily, especially ad blockers or privacy extensions that might block API requests
  • Try a different browser to rule out browser-specific issues

Step 5: Check PatternPilotAI Status

On rare occasions, the analysis service may experience downtime or degraded performance:

  • Refresh the page and check for any service status banners
  • Try a simple analysis to see if the system is responding at all
  • If the service appears to be down, wait 15 to 30 minutes and try again

When to Contact Support

Contact our support team if:

  • Analyses consistently take longer than 15 seconds across multiple attempts
  • You see error messages instead of analysis results
  • The issue persists after trying all the steps above
  • Multiple users on your network are experiencing the same issue

When reaching out, include:

  • The approximate time the issue started
  • How many attempts you have made
  • The file size and format of the image you are uploading
  • Any error messages you see
