How to Get the Best Results from Your Uploads
Maximize Your Analysis Accuracy
The quality of your chart screenshot directly affects the quality of the AI analysis. Follow these best practices to get the most accurate and useful results from every upload.
Use Clean Chart Screenshots
The single most important factor is chart clarity. A clean chart allows the AI to focus on what matters most: the price action.
Do:
- Show clear candlestick, bar, or line chart data
- Keep the background clean and uncluttered
- Make sure the price axis (Y-axis) is visible
Avoid:
- Charts with 5 or more indicators overlayed on the price data
- Heavily annotated charts with many drawn lines, arrows, or text boxes
- Very dark or low-contrast color schemes that make candles hard to distinguish
A chart with one or two indicators (like a moving average or volume bars) is fine. The key is that the price action remains clearly visible.
Include Visible Price Data and Timeframe
The AI performs best when it can see:
- Sufficient price history - Show at least 50 candles so the AI can identify the full pattern. For larger patterns, 100 to 200 candles is ideal
- The timeframe label - If your charting platform shows the timeframe on the chart, include it in the screenshot
- The price scale - Having the Y-axis visible helps the AI determine precise price levels for entry, exit, and stop-loss recommendations
Fill In the Optional Context Fields
When you upload a chart, you can provide additional context:
- Ticker Symbol - Telling the AI which asset is being analyzed helps it factor in asset-specific behavior
- Timeframe - Specifying the timeframe (1-minute, 5-minute, 1-hour, 4-hour, daily, weekly) helps the AI calibrate its analysis. A bull flag on a daily chart has different implications than one on a 5-minute chart
- Trading Style - Selecting day trading, swing trading, or position trading allows the AI to tailor its entry, exit, and risk recommendations to your approach
While these fields are optional, filling them in consistently produces noticeably better results.
Use Higher Resolution Images
Higher resolution images give the AI more visual information to work with. Recommended approaches:
- Use your charting platform's built-in screenshot or export function when available
- Take full-resolution screenshots rather than photos of your screen
- Avoid heavily compressed images that show visible artifacts around candlesticks
A resolution of 1280x720 or higher works well. There is no benefit to going above 4K resolution, as the AI processes images at a standardized resolution.
Crop to the Relevant Area
If your charting platform shows a lot of interface elements around the chart (toolbars, watchlists, order panels), crop your screenshot to focus on just the chart area. This reduces visual noise and helps the AI focus on the price data.
Most operating systems have built-in screenshot tools that let you select a specific area of the screen.
What to Do If Results Are Not What You Expected
If an analysis does not match what you see in the chart:
- Try uploading a cleaner version of the chart with fewer indicators
- Make sure you have included enough price history for the pattern to be fully visible
- Add the ticker and timeframe if you did not include them
- Remember that AI analysis is probabilistic. Ambiguous patterns may produce less definitive results
